A painting for my beautiful amazing friend walkingteacup of Ruby and Sapphire.
Took me 21 layers and 3 and a half hours hahaa my hand hurts.
And my speech:
*ahem*.
Amber, I drew this for you to represent how strongly I feel for you. You and I are like Ruby and Sapphire, how apart they're a mess but together, they're perfect. The "fire" on Ruby's side and Sapphire's side explains how though they argue and fight, like in the motel episode, the other is still a part of them. They're not like sisters. They're the best of friends. And we don't necessarily represent Sapphire and Ruby, we're each a different person, and sometimes we clash, like how Ruby and Sapphire do. But through it all, they love each other so strongly that Ruby can get past her stubborn aggression and comfort Sapphire when she needs it.
Amber, you are arguably my BEST friend, online and offline. You're always there to make me smile and laugh if needed, but that's not what I like the most. I like how you listen, and respond, whenever I need to talk. You're always there to give me helpful advice and show me something I wasn't thinking about before. And maybe I'm stubborn sometimes and don't want to admit it, but you mean the world to me, and nothing can ever change that. You're a strong, beautiful, talented, absolutely perfect person, and a downright amazing friend.
Back to the painting, the messy lines and terrible shading make it seem like there was no effort into it, right? Just like our friendship. We don't have to constantly try to repair our friendship, all we need to do is say hi and have a quick conversation and that's our friendship. As simple as messy lines and basic shading.
